To know God is to love him but you can’t love him if you don’t know Him
So God can not be an abstract concept that is to difficult to understand because to know him we first have to understand him and only when we do understand him can we love him
John 17:3 says “this means everlasting life, coming to know him and the one whom he sent forth Jesus Christ”
So there is more to it than just believing in God, that he exists.
We must acquire the knowledge and understanding about God and his son that leads to salvation which is the true course of wisdom.
