If we forget that then we have fallen from grace and he will not pay the price for your sin and go through the pain and suffering all over again for you. He went to the cross once to pay for all of our sins, pass, present and future. Knowing this makes us want to follow him in all things as the best we can and ask his help to do better when we slip. As we are still in the flesh. We only fall from Grace when we turn from believing he took all our sins. His shed blood paid for all sins. Now there is no more need of a blood sacrifice once a year as it was before he died on the cross.
